The City of Raleigh’s new law enforcement training center serves the ongoing training needs of the city’s public safety team. The facility includes basic training rooms along with specialized spaces including in-service training, defensive tactics training, reconfigurable scenario rooms and physical training spaces with lockers.
The new 2-story 60,000 SF classroom facility included a breezeway connection to an existing building. The technology infrastructure was future-proofed to accommodate remote training, simulation capabilities and video-rich displays. Sustainability measures were incorporated from the start from mechanical systems, to low-emission material selection, diversion of construction waste from landfills, and more.
