John Newton
Senior BIM Specialist/Master of Putting the Pieces Together

Ever try building something and thought, “How does all this fit together?” That’s the question John Newton answers every day—and he loves it. As a Senior BIM Specialist, he brings structure to the chaos, helping teams visualize how every beam, bolt, and connection comes together to build something great.

John’s journey started outdoors—literally. After spending winters as a rodman in the freezing cold, he realized computer drafting was more his speed. A friend introduced him to the architectural side of things, and he’s been hooked ever since. When he found Lynch Mykins had systems that matched his workflow and a team-first vibe, he knew it was the right fit.

When John’s not turning design into reality, he’s out hiking in parks, working out, or spending quality time with his wife of 27 years and their two adult kids. He loves mountain getaways for the change of scenery and cherishes any chance to create new memories over great food.

And if you really want to get to know him, bring up Chris Farley’s “Van Down by the River” skit, it still cracks him up every time.
