Holistic 21st century learning means collaborative learning spaces, extensive views outside, and large gathering spaces to create a powerful sense of community. Nestled in booming southwest Cary, NC, this facility serves more than 2,200 students.
This 320,888 SF high school boasts 3-story support space and a 4-story classroom wing, a 3,200-seat gymnasium, 850-seat auditorium and performing arts center, auxiliary gym, second floor media center, dining hall, and (of course) mechanical mezzanines). Sports facilities round out the campus with a 2,500-seat football stadium, baseball, softball, and multi-sport competition fields, concessions and support facilities.
Built on structural steel frames with a flat roof, this sloping site required complex foundation retaining walls.
