Josh McBride, MSI
Structural Inspector/Van Josh

You might not know immediately, from his laid-back style, and quiet demeanor, but Josh is a perfectionist. In his work as a structural inspector, as a mentor for others on the job, and in his art – graffiti art, that is. In fact, he’s been a graffiti artist since he was 12. Check out his work (and subsequent demolition) during our Raleigh expansion in our Breaking Barriers video on social media! And today, he continues his passion painting murals. You can check out his work in the Bryan Student Center and the Arts Annex at Duke University. Oh, and the huge mural on the Trotter Building just across from Motorco? It’s also his. He’s kind of a big deal around here!

Josh’s first job was at the Starlite Drive-in movie theater in Durham. He says if there was a film about his life, it would be called “From Nothing” and Tom Hardy would lead because his characters are known for rising from less-than-ideal circumstances into the exact, strong, successful characters they’re supposed to be. Where do we get tickets?

Josh loves to fish for bowfin at Jordan Lake and any saltwater fish along the coast. It’s a safe bet his steaks are perfectly cooked and his fishing hook, perfectly baited.
