Lynch Mykins is a structural engineering firm that believes in the power of relationships. In fact, we’ve based our entire business model on them. We’re looking for a Business Development Administrator to strengthen and activate our existing client relationships across all LM offices. This is a salaried, exempt position, reporting to the head of Marketing.

The business development administrator has a strategic growth mindset. This person is a gatherer and curator of the most relevant information to support our thriving firm’s continued growth. He/she is a pro at data management, oversees its integrity, and works efficiently to produce well-written business development documents and proposals that showcase our firm and win new work. This personal is a team-player and thrives in collaboration with others.

Key job responsibilities include:

- Collaborating with project managers and client service managers to leverage intelligence in pitching new work strategically.
- Identifying RFPs for new work that are a good fit for our firm or present opportunities for future outreach.
- Strategic communications and content development for proposals.
- Writing and editing responses for proposals, documents, qualifications packages, and any other business development assets requested.
- Easily creates original content or modifies existing content that precisely captures our differentiation, based on project requirements.
- Maintaining/developing new relationships with BD/marketing contacts with clients.
- Research industry events and coordinate with internal teams on attendance and participation.
-Digital marketing support, SEO/SEM.
- Social media strategy, analytics, and reporting on the growth of our following in support of business development initiatives.
- Researches and identifies new business opportunities not made public yet.
- Researches and identifies potential opportunities based on early market intelligence markers and proposes plans with internal teams for outreach.
- Coordinating with project managers on teaming strategy and outreach for RFPs. Updating and maintaining all documentation for outreach initiatives in our CRM daily.
-Collect and maintain references and testimonials databases.
- Setting and following up with tasks in our CRM for future outreach based on early-stage intel.
- Tracking and reporting new business conversion metrics.
- Educating prospects on our brand promise and history of success.
- Participate in client events and relationship nurturing.
- Attending events, conferences, lunches, and socials, many of which occur outside standard business hours.
- Researching and identifying industry and sponsorship involvement and coordinating our presence and activation at designated events.
- Managing the accuracy, integrity, and usability of all CRM data.
- Follow up on teaming status daily with internal contacts and directly with clients to ensure clear communication and accountability for all outreach initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

- Bachelors in Marketing, Communications or related field
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in account management, sales/BD, marketing
- AEC industry knowledge
- Excellent writer and communicator
- CRM management experience, Cosential preferred
- Adobe Creative Cloud, InDesign a must, Trello preferred
